Enter our Love Edwinstowe and Sherwood Forest writing competition

We want you to tell us what you love about Edwinstowe and/or Sherwood Forest in our new writing competition.

May be it is the area’s stunning landscapes and wildlife, its social and cultural history or the forest’s close association with one of the world’s best-known folk heroes.

Whatever inspires you about this special place, why not try and encapsulate it in piece of original literature?

It can be a poem, an essay or a short story – let your imagination go wild, but please limit it to 300 words! You can also add drawings if you wish.

Entries will be judged by children’s author Sarah Ann Juckes and winners will receive a National Book Token plus other exciting prizes!

Their writing will also feature in the Love Edwinstowe & Sherwood Forest Trail between Wednesday 8th and Sunday 26th February 2023.

Entries can be submitted in person at the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre or e-mailed to carol.hallam@rspb.org.uk

Please include your name, age, contact number and e-mail address on the reverse of your entry.

The closing date is Monday 30 January 2023.

Get creating – and good luck!
