CANCELLED Hares and Eggs Easter Trail
Don your best bonnet to celebrate the Spring! As Sherwood Forest stirs back to life we’re celebrating the Easter Bunny’s older, wiser relative – the Easter Hare.
In Robin Hood’s time many people abstained from eggs during Lent. They would break their fast on Easter Sunday, beginning the practice of gifting eggs. In many European traditions these were brought by the Easter Hare, a symbol of fertility and rebirth.
Take part in our family friendly Hares and Eggs Easter Trail! Starting at the visitor centre and winding through the forest along the Major Oak Trail.
Standard parking charges apply. Keep and eye on the website and follow us on social media to see what else is happening at Sherwood Forest over the Easter holidays.
