The family café in the visitor centre produces delicious fresh food every day and is proud to be certified by the Soil Association Food For Life Served Here.
Our menu includes a hot and cold selection – ranging from our home-baked organic baguettes and soup to filled jacket spuds and pies. We cater for all tastes, with a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as gluten free – please let our team know if you have any special dietary needs.
For our younger adventurers, we’ve got pick ‘n mix lunch bags- specially designed for you to grab and go, making sure you don’t waste another minute of your exploring time!
You can also hire a traditional wicker picnic hamper to fill with any of the delicious snacks and drinks we have in our chiller cabinet. Pay for your chosen items and a £10 refundable deposit will secure a hamper to take it with you out into the reserve.
The views from our café are stunning – it’s a great place to kick back and enjoy a cuppa with a slice of cake whilst you drink in the glorious views of the forest. Our unique triple certified coffee is fair trade, organic and bird friendly® but most importantly – delicious.
We use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and we like to keep our packaging to a minimum to cut down on waste. If you’re taking food out, our containers are all Vegware, meaning they are made from plants, and can be composted after use. Please look out for the sign on our bins.
Once your food’s chosen – the next decision is where to enjoy it! As well as our café, which has some dog-friendly tables too, we have plenty of easy-access tables outside and under the roof canopy. There’s plenty of water bowls in this area too, to keep your four-legged friends happy.
