VE Day Concert with the Nottinghamshire Band of the Royal Engineers

We’re delighted to welcome back the Nottinghamshire Band of the Royal Engineers for our annual VE Day concert at Sherwood Forest.

The band’s free performances here at the reserve have been enjoyed by visitors of all ages – and have been blessed by fine spring weather too.

Wearing the distinctive bright red dress tunics of the Engineers, the band will strike up for two 45-minute sets during the day.

They will be joined by the University of the Third Age (U3A) Recorder Group, who will play a selection of popular tunes in their ensemble.

Timings

12.30pm-1.15pm: Nottinghamshire Band of the Royal Engineers

1.30pm-2pm: U3A Recorder Group

2.45pm-3.30pm: Nottinghamshire Band of the Royal Engineers

The concert is free, although parking charges apply (£5 per vehicle per day/free for RSPB members).

Please note that photography and videography of this event may take place, by attending this event you are formally giving permission for your image being used, free of charge, by the RSPB for the designated purpose of promoting the work of the organisation.
